U.S OFFICER FOOTLOCKER AND SS HELMET

Complete foot locker containing SS souvenir helmet!
Locker contains around 40 WW2 Stars and Stripes newspapers, the officers gaiters,field equipment items ,flask, map case, webbing pouches, copies of newspaper clippings, his war time photo album, the family have removed the subjects photos, other loose photos, post war US army docs and other odds and ends, the star piece of the locker is the SS helmet, which is a Quist produced M40 retaining its original Quist decal, helmet is in super condition retaining 90% original factory paint, runic decal is circa 80% remaining, liner is in exceptionally nice supple condition showing light wear and size marked 61, also retaining its original maker marked supple chinstrap, all items are the former property of Major Chester Ball a Field Arty. officer with the 46th FA , 5th Div. in France, winner of the Silver Star medal. Possibly I would split the helmet and footlocker to sell separately. Shipping of the footlocker to be quoted for.
