VETERAN BRING BACK GvB OFFICER TUNIC UNTOUCHED SINCE 1945!

Purchased by myself some years back from the guys who knew the veterans carer, he had been given the tunic by the veteran himself as a thank you to the carer, never before offered on the open market this tunic has the provenience collectors yearn for.
The tunic even retains the old art deco 40's Illionois tailors suit bag which the veteran had stored it in all those years ago (the veteran was Illionois born, and indeed died in). The tunic has the officer green woollen collar and is finished in grey gaberdine, the breast pockets have been period re tailored a little higher for the officers
preference.
All insignia is of course totally original to the tunic, typically the hand applied sleeve eagle is an Army style which was not infrequently found in the GvB, the officer tabs are machine applied with the runic showing no oxidising, SS-Obersturmfuhrer shoulder boards are light blue piped for Transport & Supply, some diligent research could well ID the officer, as it could only be one of around 3/4 officers ! The standard Gotz cuff band has been carefully hand applied and again is of course totally original to the tunic!
Also hanging on the matching tailors hanger were a pair of rather unusual pants in a very light weight material, somewhat moth nipped. Tunic has seen just moderate wear with minor sweat staining, there are some moth bites some of which have had repairs to them by the carer also there is a larger hole in the left armpit not visible with sleeve in normal position. Also included is some insignia from the vet and his medal ribbon bar also a 45th div. booklet, some documentation including correspondence via email, some obituaries and a pic of the vets last resting place. A unique tunic with impeccable history!
