Cap is high quality construction in a fine doeskin wool no moth tracking or damage to the black wool or velvet band, just 3 tiny nips to the rear top piping,silver cap cord is attached with nickle buttons
(one slightly lifting), insignia is original to the cap and is high quality retaining at least 90% of its original finish, inside is finished in a light brown cotton and artificial silk and has the full celluloid rhomboid one coin size hole to the liner toward the front presumably a rodent?
