WSS PRINZ EUGEN SS-BW LATE WAR WITH KNOWN OWNER

SS-Hauptscharführer and medic Andreas Lösch. Lösch, born in 1912, served as a "Legion Condor" member during the Spanish Civil War and was awarded the Spanish Cross in silver. He was an early SA member serving with Sturm 45/6.
During WWII, Lösch served as a Waffen-SS Stabsscharführer (Spieß) and medic with several units. Images of several field post letters reflect the service of Lösch and provide more details on his units which were (at least): 2. Sanitäts-Kompanie SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs-Division "Prinz Eugen", I./Art.Abt.SS-Polizei-Division, 4./SS-San.Ers.Batl. Stettin and "Waffen-SS Strafvollzugslager Mosbach" where he served from 1944 until 1945.
Lösch, serving as a medic POW, survived an attack against former Waffen-SS soldiers in the POW camp Nürnberg-Langwasser in April 1946 known to have committed by the Nakam organization (https://n-land.de/lokales/altenfurt/war-die-rache-doch-toedlich)
Tunic came straight from the family and was never available on the market before.
Tunic has been tailored to shorten and give a close elegant fit including internal shoulder pads, a dark green collar as well as vertical pocket bars have also been tailored, manufactured in Italian cloth and comes with a grey-purple colour HBT and linen lining. There are clear "SS-BW" depot markings as well as size stamps. Furthermore, there is an unknown "E?" stamp.
When the tunic was first bought to the market the collar had been extensively eaten by moth and the insignia mostly removed, the collar has been remade in original 1940’s green wool and the original litzen then transferred to it, Losch’s original Hauptscharfuhrer blue piped shoulder boards are fitted, along with replacement collar tabs, the edelweiss, sleeve eagle, and cuff title have been restored, tunic retains its originally attached and complete buttons, interestingly the 4 pocket buttons have been period changed to the glass JFS ’43 tropical buttons to give a more elegant look. Originally attached "Volkspflege Medal" and War Merit Cross 2nd Class ribbons. Two pair of originally attached loops for two awards to the left breast pocket. One pair of loops for his Spanish Cross to the left breast pocket, which has the original lapel pin version tucked in.
Included in the sale are images of the FP letters and his Photo, also the remnants of the original green collar and small section of the original BeVo collar tab.
